Pecan Praline Cheesecake

frequently asked questions...

Q: How long does the cheesecake last?
A: We suggest consuming the cheesecake within 5-7 days after purchasing. Of course we know it will not last that long though!
Q: Can you freeze cheesecake?
A: YES! Cheesecake is very easy to freeze and still tastes delicious after it is thawed. Simply seal the cheesecake tightly with a material such as plastic wrap and place into a freezer bag. Cheesecake can be frozen for several months. We suggest no more than 1 month, though, for the best quality. To thaw, remove the cheesecake from the freezer and place in the refrigerator overnight. Then enjoy!
Q: Does Ma Mère’s have a storefront?
A: No. Currently, we bake our cheesecakes in a certified commercial kitchen located in Carmel, IN. We do not have regular hours at the kitchen and all orders for pick-up must be scheduled with us ahead of time.
Q: Does Ma Mère’s deliver?
A: Yes, we will deliver to the greater Indianapolis area. Depending on the location, a delivery fee may apply. If you would prefer to pick up your cheesecake, you may do so at our commercial kitchen in Carmel.
Q: Where did the name “Ma Mère’s” come from?
A: Ma Mère was the owner of the original cheesecake recipe and was the mother of the founder, Sue. Sue’s daughters always called their grandmother by the name of Ma Mère. Translated from French, it literally means “my mother” and is a significant reminder of the history, tradition, and love behind the delicious cheesecake recipe.
Q: How long can the cheesecake stay out of the fridge?
A: If possible, we recommend leaving the cheesecake in the refrigerator at all times except when you are serving.
